Is My Child Suitable for the Montessori Philosophy?

All children, from birth, naturally engage in play and explore their surroundings. At the core of the Montessori Philosophy is the aim to nurture a child's inherent curiosity and desire for self-improvement. This philosophy, which follows the child's curiosity while considering their individual needs, is applicable to all children.

Should my child have his education in Turkish or English?

During the preschool years, learning a new language not only supports a child's communication skills but also contributes to their brain development. Using both lobes of the brain actively during language learning has a positive impact on brain development. Children exposed to English by foreign teachers in their daily lives can learn English as effortlessly as their native language. Therefore, preschool-age children can naturally learn a second language in their natural environments.

Why is Mixed-Age Grouping Important?

Mixed-age groupings in classrooms allow older children to assist and teach younger ones in areas where they need help. The older children take on a leadership role, enhancing their own skills and serving as role models for the younger ones. Meanwhile, the younger children learn from the older ones, which boosts their motivation and encourages them to engage more enthusiastically in the learning process. In Montessori classrooms, all children play a role as both teachers and learners.

Nutrition

All meals are prepared by a professional chef in our school's cafeteria. In addition to the weekly supply of vegetables and fruits, we source fresh meat and poultry on a daily basis. Our menu does not include sugary products, and for afternoon snacks, we offer items sweetened with natural ingredients like molasses, dates, and honey. Children serve their own meals, which fosters their self-awareness regarding their bodies, and helps them focus on feelings of hunger, fullness, and the various flavors in the meals.
